Year Zero is a very funny book and I absolutely loved it. This book
makes fun of the music industry and copyright laws. The basic premise is
that the rest of the universe is obsessed with Earth music, but before
they became familiar with Earth laws they had already pirated so much
Earth music that the universe owed all of its collective wealth to Earth
in fines.
I gave this book five stars and would recommend it to
anyone who likes humor/satire mixed in with their fantasy and sci-fi.
Fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series will really be able to
appreciate the author's use of humorous footnotes throughout the story.
